A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. That company processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

Overton County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a personal criminal-record database. It explains how to reach the Overton County Sheriff, the Circuit Court Clerk, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal records, and this operation is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies run the embedded search tools. Information submitted there is governed by the provider's policy, including its retention and disclosure terms. We do not control those practices. Review the provider's notice before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Overton County offices, Tennessee agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy terms apply. Read them before providing personal information.

The Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-515, applies to records held by Tennessee government custodians rather than data held by this private website. Criminal-history dissemination by TBI is separately governed by Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 38-6-117 and 38-6-120.
